It's as Easy as Threading a Needle

Have you ever started divesting a custom UCLA type abutment or bar case only to find a bubble in the chimney? Or how about the chimney partially filled with investment caused by trapped air in the opening?

Solution: Thread several inches of dental floss through the chimney after the case has been sprued. This can be accomplished by guiding the floss through the casting ring so it can be pulled out from the top of the ring, after the investment has been poured. By pulling the floss through the opening it forces trapped air bubbles out and transfers the investment fully through the chimney. As an additional precaution, place the invested ring into a Wiropress® pressure vessel at 55 PSI. These techniques will help ensure a "stitch in time" and smooth casting on your next implant case!
